Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith

The Scriptures

We believe that the Old and New Testament in the King James Bible is the infallible, verbally inspired, and preserved Word of God.

 Psalms 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Psalms 12:7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

God

We believe that God the Father-God the Son-God the Holy Spirit are all One.
And He has ultimate authority.

Jesus

He is the only Son of God. Born of a virgin. Lived a sinless life. Died on the cross. arose on the 3rd day. ascended into heaven. The only way to heaven is through Him.

 Man

 We believe that man was created in the image of God.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Preacher

1 Corinthians 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

1 Corinthians 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Titus 1:5 ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:

Titus 1:6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.

Titus 1:7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;

Titus 1:8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;

Titus 1:9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

1 Timothy 3:1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.

1 Timothy 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

1 Timothy 3:3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

1 Timothy 3:4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;

1 Timothy 3:5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

1 Timothy 3:6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

1 Timothy 3:7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

The Church

We believe that Christ is the head of the church. We believe that true believers that form themselves together to worship God and to carry out the Great Commission. Are the Body of the Church.

Salvation

We believe in eternal salvation.

 John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

 Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

 Ephesians 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
